Metro Urban Studies Term (MUST)

Fall Semester

The following information is intended to assist students and advisors in the distribution and approval of credits for participation in HECUA programs. Contact HECUA Admissions with any questions (651/646-8832, 800/554-1089, [email protected], www.hecua.org).

Total Credits

The Metro Urban Studies Term (MUST) provides 27 credits. Credits and grades count towards graduation as general electives. However, they are not included in the GPA.

Distribution Requirements

Students who wish to apply some or all credits towards a distribution requirement must undertake a petition and approval process with the appropriate department/academic office.

Major Credits

Students from all majors are encouraged to participate in MUST.

Majors that have participated in MUST include: American Studies o Economics o Political Science o Sociology/Anthropology o Urban Studies

Students who wish to apply some or all credits towards a major requirement must undertake a petition and approval process with the appropriate department/academic office. Discuss with your faculty advisor specific credit distribution in relation to your degree program and credits you need for the major, distribution requirements and/or electives.

Students planning to study off campus Fall semester must submit an OCS petition to the Carleton Off-Campus Studies Office by the third Thursday of spring term (April 13, 2000) for permission to study off-campus fall semester 2000. Note: You must contact the Carleton office earlier than April 13 in order to meet the HECUA April 15 deadline. (No additional registration is required at Carleton.)

HECUA Deadline

Applications for MUST are due in the HECUA office by April 15. Early application is encouraged as the program may fill before the deadline. Applications are reviewed as they are received. Late applications are considered on a space available basis.

City Arts

Spring Semester
