Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs

Get out of the classroom and into the world! College students can study social issues in Scandinavia, Latin America, Asia or the U.S. with HECUA. We emphasize a high level of student involvement in learning, with a focus on inequality and ways to bring about change in society. Our programs include internships, independent study projects, and/or small group field projects.

HECUA is a group of fifteen Midwest colleges and universities that have joined together to offer these high-quality programs for students from across the United States. With nearly 30 years of experience as a respected consortium, HECUA is proud to have served over 2,000 students. Join a HECUA program to learn through hands-on experience, gain practical skills, and make a difference in society.
