REPORTS TO: Executive Director
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To manage the operation, direction and growth of Person to Persons Education Program, which serves non-native English speaking immigrants and refugees living in Minneapolis. Person to Persons Education Program is a respectful and effective resource that honors an individuals desire to learn. Those involved further their personal life goals through partnership: a pairing of individuals to work with one another in pursuit of a common goal based on complementary skills, preferences, interests and temperament. Responsibilities include: interviewing both volunteers and students to determine their respective goals, interests, and skills; matching volunteers and students in partnerships; arranging for and supporting group instruction; seeking out community partners and collaboration opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated knowledge of issues facing low income persons and immigrants/ refugees; demonstrated ability to relate to volunteers and diverse populations; demonstrated ability in program development and report writing; belief in and ability to incorporate empowerment philosophy in all interactions
Education and Experience: Minimum undergraduate degree in related area. Minimum 2 year direct service experienced with low income and/ or immigrant/ refugee populations. Experience with teaching or literacy efforts is important. Experience with volunteer management and/or personnel supervision is useful.
TIME COMMITMENT: 40 hours per week, flexible scheduling
COMPENSATION: salary in mid-twenties; benefits package

Rotary International seeks a coordinator to assist with the administration of the Group Study Exchange, an international vocational exchange program for professionals who are in the initial stages of their careers. Position is based in the Chicago area.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Administers Group Study Exchange team files - Works with Rotary volunteer Group Study Exchange leaders from around the world - Evaluates fund requests, calculates and issues payments - Monitors award budget in detail with spreadsheets - Maintains written and telephone communication with GSE Program leaders and team leaders, - Assists with special projects such as publication revisions, mass mailings, volunteer training, and program promotion> QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree required - Strong administrative skills - Proficiency in a second language. COUNCIL INTERNATIONAL STUDY PROGRAMS
Position: Program Assistant Intern, Latin America, Council ISP
Type: Part-time position; full-time preferred
Reports to: Program Officer, Latin America, Council-ISP

Start Date: August 1, 1999
Summary: Assist Latin America Program Staff in administrative tasks related to Council-ISP
programs in the region.
Responsibilities: Answering students' questions about, and assisting with administrative
work and special projects related to Council Study Center and Direct Enrollment programs in:

The ideal candidate is an individual with strong attention to detail and a sense of customer service. Administrative work includes filing of forms, photocopying, and bulk mailings. Intern will be trained with the prospect of becoming the Program Advisor for Latin America in December.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in international relations or related field preferred(or in their senior year)
-Prior word processing computer/database experience required
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Great attention to detail
-Ability to work independently
-Prior study experience in, or travel to Latin America required; to any of the host countries preferred
-Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese language
-Customer service background plus
