ST. CATHERINE STUDENT INFORMATION

The following information is intended to assist students and advisors in the distribution and approval of credits for participation in HECUA programs.

Total Credits

The Metro Urban Studies Term (MUST) provides 16 semester credits. Courses and credits appear on the transcript as St. Catherine credits and are included in GPA.

 

Core Curriculum

Students can fulfill the Global Search for Justice requirement through participation in MUST. Obtain guidelines from the CSC Global Studies office. Intention to fulfill the requirement must be indicated when you register for MUST at CSC. You must meet with the HECUA campus representative prior to applying for MUST to discuss additional post-program work required in order to fulfill the Global Search for Justice requirement.

 

MUST may fulfill the Social Science requirement. Reviewed case-by-case, based on the student's reading, focus of projects, etc.

 

Major Credits

Students from all majors are encouraged to participate in MUST.

 

Majors that have participated in MUST are:

Communications • Psychology • Urban Studies

Students planning to study off campus Fall semester must submit application to the CSC Office of Global Studies by April 15. (Submit to CSC by April 5 in order to meet HECUA April 15 deadline.)

 

HECUA Deadline

Applications for MUST are due in the HECUA office by April 15. Early application is encouraged. Applications are reviewed as they are received. Late applications are considered on a space available basis.
