Each Wednesday we compile a list of jobs that we think might interest our alumni. In the past, this list has existed informally on our twitter account (@hecua_offcampus – follow us!) using the hashtag #hecuacareerboard. From now on we’ll also post an annotated list on our website. If you’re an employer and you’d like to submit a job, email Laney Ohmans at lohmans<@>hecua.org with a brief description of the position and why it would be a good fit for a HECUA student or alumni. If you’re a student and you’d like our help finding a job, email Laney with a brief description of what you’re looking for!
The Minnesota Land Trust is hiring again, and this time they’re looking for a Stewardship Associate. Wondering how you’ll put that Geography major to good use? This position with the Minnesota Land Trust looks like a good fit for a recent graduate with GIS proficiency and an interest in conservation. They’d like you to be able to identify plant and animal species in Minnesota and be familiar with field sampling techniques.
Planned Parenthood (the regional office) is hiring a Development Associate.
A great entry-level position for anyone interested in women’s health and raising money, or a combination of the two. Added bonus: you’d office just blocks away from HECUA. As loyal followers of our Instagram know, we have office dogs for you to pet. Just throwing it out there.
Wilderness protection organization Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness is looking for an Advocacy Director.
For our alumni with three to four years of experience in legislative advocacy work. FBWW is on the hunt for an experienced Advocacy Director to “build a network of conservation activists.” We’d like to commend them for listing the salary range on their post! It’s $55,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
The Battered Women’s Justice Project needs a Website Content Writer/Communications Coordinator.
This is a pretty standard Communications Coordinator job, with one difference: there’s significant emphasis on producing articles for their two websites: BWJP.org and PreventDVgunviolence.org. You’ll need to be a strong writer with high-quality research skills for this one, and it probably wouldn’t hurt to have significant experience with Google Analytics.
HECUA alum Eric Sannerud’s business, Mighty Axe Hops, is hiring seasonal Hop Yard Staff.
At the very least it looks like you’ll want to be able to work hard and lift heavy things. Preferred qualifications include: experience in agriculture, horticulture, carpentry, or contruction.
That’s the best of the bunch for this week. We’ll be back next week with more job opportunities!
