(CILA)
Fall Semester
The following information is intended to assist
students and advisors in the distribution
and approval of credits for participation
in HECUA programs. Contact HECUA Admissions

Total Credits
Each semester program provides 16 credit hours.
Courses and credits appear on the transcript
as Augustana credits and are included in GPA.
Core of Liberal Studies Credits
Programs may fulfill the following requirements:
CILA: Intercultural Studies
Contact the HECUA Campus Representative for
further information.
Major Credits
Students from all majors are encouraged to
participate in the Latin America programs.
Majors that have participated and may have
received major credit include:
CILA: International Relations o Spanish o
Psychology
Discuss with your faculty advisor specific
credit distribution in relation to your degree
program and credits you need for the major,
core of liberal studies and/or electives.

Campus Deadlines
Students planning to study off campus fall
semester must contact the Augustana Study
Abroad Office by March 15 to apply for permission
to enroll in CILA.
HECUA Deadline
Applications for CILA are due in the HECUA
office by March 15. Early application is encouraged
as the program may fill before the deadline.
Applications are reviewed as they are received.
Late applications are considered on a space
available basis.
