Spring Semester
The following information is intended to assist
students and advisors in the distribution
and approval of credits for participation

Total Credits
The CITY ARTS program provides 4 course credits
which are awarded as transfer credits; not
included in the Gustavus GPA.
Core Requirements
CITY ARTS does not fulfill any Gustavus core
requirements. (Credits may be used toward
the major and/or as general elective credits.)
Major Credits
Students from all majors are encouraged to
participate in CITY ARTS.
Majors that have participated in CITY ARTS
are:
o Art Education
o Art History
o English
o History
o Political Science
o Studio Art
o Theater
Discuss with your faculty advisor specific
credit distribution in relation to your degree
program and credits you need for the major
and/or electives.
Registration
To participate in CITY ARTS, students must
register at Gustavus Adolphus for:

Students on academic probation are not eligible
for CITY ARTS.

Cities during the HECUA term (mailing address,
etc.), in order to forward campus mail and
correspond with the student on internship-related
matters during the term; student should submit
this to Jennifer once known (before program
start date or once settled).
Work Study Funds for Internship:

Information on arranging use of work study
funds from your financial aid package for
a possible paid internship; requires that
a portion of the wage be paid by the internship
site; case-by-case basis.
Campus Deadlines
Students planning to enroll in CITY ARTS spring
semester should meet with the HECUA campus
representative by November 1 to discuss the
program and the application process.
HECUA Deadline
Applications for CITY ARTS are due in the
HECUA office by December 1. Early application
is encouraged as the program may fill before
the deadline. Applications are reviewed as
they are received. Late applications are considered
on a space available basis.
