City Arts
Spring Semester
The following information is intended to assist
students and advisors in the distribution
and approval of credits for participation
in HECUA programs. Contact HECUA Admissions

Total Credits
The City Arts program provides 16 semester
credits. Courses and credits appear on the
transcript as St. Catherine credits and are
included in GPA.
Core Curriculum
Students can fulfill the Global Search for
Justice requirement through participation
in CITY ARTS. Obtain guidelines from the CSC
Global Studies office. Intention to fulfill
the requirement must be indicated when you
register for CITY ARTS at CSC. You must meet
with the HECUA campus representative before
applying for CITY ARTS to discuss additional
post-program work required in order to fulfill
the Global Search for Justice requirement.
CITY ARTS may fulfill the Fine Arts requirement.
Reviewed case-by-case, based on the students
reading, focus of projects, etc.
Major Credits
Students from all majors are encouraged to
participate in CITY ARTS.
Womens Studies majors (through ACTC)
may use the two internship course credits
toward the major. Discuss criteria for the
internship with your major advisor to ensure
that it is appropriately related to womens
studies.
Majors that have participated in CITY ARTS
are: o Art Education o Communications
o Sociology o Studio Art
Discuss with your faculty advisor specific
credit distribution in relation to your degree
program and credits you need for the major,
core curriculum and/or electives.

register at CSC for:

Campus Deadlines
December 1.
HECUA Deadline
Applications for CITY ARTS are due in the
HECUA office by December 1. Early application
is encouraged as the program may fill before
the deadline. Applications are reviewed as
they are received. Late applications are considered
on a space available basis.
