Metro Urban Studies Term (MUST)
Fall Semester/Spring Semester
The following information is intended to assist
students and advisors in the distribution
and approval of credits for participation

Total Credits
The Metro Urban Studies Term (MUST) provides
16 semester credits. Courses and credits appear
on the transcript as St. Catherine credits
and are included in GPA.
Core Curriculum
Students can fulfill the Global Search for
Justice requirement through participation
in MUST. Obtain guidelines from the CSC Global
Studies office. Intention to fulfill the requirement
must be indicated when you register for MUST
at CSC. You must meet with the HECUA campus
representative prior to applying for MUST
to discuss additional post-program work required
in order to fulfill the Global Search for
Justice requirement.
MUST may fulfill the Social Science requirement.
Reviewed case-by-case, based on the students
reading, focus of projects, etc.
Major Credits
Students from all majors are encouraged to
participate in MUST.
Majors that have participated in MUST are:
o Communications o Psychology o Sociology
o Urban Studies o Womens Studies
Discuss with your faculty advisor specific
credit distribution in relation to your degree
program and credits you need for the major,
core curriculum and/or electives.

at CSC for:

HECUA Deadline
Applications for MUST are due in the HECUA
office for fall semester by April 15; for
spring semester by December 1. Early application
is encouraged as the program may fill before
the deadline. Applications are reviewed as
they are received. Late applications are considered
on a space available basis.
