Scandinavian Urban Studies Term (SUST)
Fall Semester

The following information is intended to assist students and advisors in the distribution and approval of credits for participation in HECUA programs. Contact HECUA Admissions with any questions (651/646-8832, 800/554-1089, [email protected]).

Total Credits
The Scandinavian Urban Studies Term (SUST) provides 16 semester credits. Courses and credits appear on the transcript as St. Catherine credits and are included in GPA.

Core Curriculum
SUST may fulfill the Social Science and/or Literature requirement. Reviewed case-by-case, based on the student’s reading, focus of projects, etc.

Major Credits
Students from all majors are encouraged to participate in SUST. Majors that have participated in SUST include:
o Creative Writing
o English
o Political Science
o Social Work

Discuss with your faculty advisor specific credit distribution in relation to your degree program and credits you need for the major and/or electives.

To participate in SUST, students must register at CSC for:
SPST 489 - Special Studies

Campus Deadlines
Students planning to study off-campus fall semester must submit application to the CSC Office of Global Studies by March 1 in order to meet HECUA March 15 deadline.

HECUA Deadline
Applications for SUST are due in the HECUA office by March 15. Early application is encouraged as the program may fill before the deadline. Applications are reviewed as they are received. Late applications are considered on a space available basis.
