Metro Urban Studies Term (MUST)
Fall Semester/Spring Semester
The following information is intended to assist
students and advisors in the distribution
and approval of credits for participation
in HECUA programs. Contact HECUA Admissions

Total Credits
The Metro Urban Studies Term (MUST) provides
16 semester hours. Courses and credits appear
on the transcript as Viterbo credits and are
included in GPA.
Core Curriculum Credits
MUST fulfills the following requirements:
- Social Science credit
- Liberal Studies electives
Major Credits
Students from all majors are encouraged to
participate in MUST.
Majors that have participated in MUST include:
Sociology
Discuss with your faculty advisor specific
credit distribution in relation to your degree
program and credits you need for the major,
general education and/or electives.
Registration
To participate in MUST, students must register
at Viterbo for:
GLST 200 Off-Campus Study (Freshmen and Sophomores)
GLST 400 Off-Campus Study (Juniors and Seniors)

Campus Deadlines
Students planning to study off campus must
contact Viterbos Office for Global Education
by February 1 to apply for permission to study
off-campus the following academic year.
HECUA Deadline
Applications for MUST are due in the HECUA
office for fall semester by April 15; for
spring semester by December 1. (Note: This
is 10 months after the Viterbo internal deadline.)
Early application is encouraged as the program
may fill before the deadline. Applications
are reviewed as they are received. Late applications
are considered on a space available basis.
