Total Credits
The Metro Urban Studies
Term (MUST) provides 27 credits. Credits and grades count towards graduation
as general electives. However, they are not included in the GPA.
Distribution Requirements
Students who wish to apply
some or all credits towards a distribution requirement must undertake
a petition and approval process with the appropriate department/academic
office.
Major Credits
Students from all majors
are encouraged to participate in MUST.
Majors that have participated
in MUST include:
American Studies o Economics o Political Science o Sociology/Anthropology
o Urban Studies
Students who wish to apply
some or all credits towards a major requirement must undertake a petition
and approval process with the appropriate department/academic office.
Discuss with your faculty advisor specific credit distribution in relation

Off-Campus Studies Office by the third Thursday of spring term for permission
to study off-campus fall semester.
Students planning to study

for permission to study off-campus spring semester.
(No additional registration
is required at Carleton.)
HECUA Deadline
