HECUA -- Student Resources -- Programs -- Graduate Fellowship on Philanthropy & Human Rights -- General Information

A. STUDENT ELIGIBILITY
The Graduate Fellowship is available to students who are members of ethnic or cultural groups historically underrepresented in higher education and who are studying in Minnesota. The Graduate Fellowship is open to students in all academic disciplines.

B. PLACEMENT PROCESS

1. Interested students should apply directly to HECUA for Graduate Fellowship.
2. Selection committee will review applications based on selection criteria.
3. If you are recommended as a semi-finalist, you will be asked to participate in an interview at the Otto Bremer Foundation.
4. Three paid graduate fellowships are awarded.

C. SELECTION CRITERIA

1. How you think, analyze and write.
2. Definition and commitment to human rights.
3. Experiences that predict your potential in human rights, nonprofits and fulfilling the objectives
of the Fellowship.
4. Current research interest and program.
5. Academic merit.
6. Evidence of support from your academic institution.

D. HOW TO APPLY

Applications may be submitted via mail, e-mail or hand delivery. Faxes will not be accepted.
