Guided by our vision "to bring together faculty, staff, and practitioners to address the most pressing issues of our time," HECUA often offers professional education programs that use the urban/regional context as basis for the exploration of contemporary social issues.

Our approach grows out of 30 years of experience with interdisciplinary, off-campus programs for students. HECUA programs, located in the Twin Cities metropolitan area and at international locations, are designed to bridge the academy and the community.

HECUA's professional education programs reflect its well-developed practice that has involved many faculty members throughout the consortium. Our network of faculty, community partners and alumni provide valuable learning resources that make the study of complex urban issues come to life.
