Complete a Twin Cities Program Internship Interest Form,
available here. It is also available as a
pdf document (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader).
Students leave their home institution for the semester and receive a full semester's credit for their participation in the
Metro Urban Studies Term or
City Arts programs. They are required to complete an internship that intersects with the program themes.
Logistics:

Students are expected to work in the internship placement for a minimum of 200 hours, 16-20 hours per week for 12 weeks

Students work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to fulfill their internship hours. Tuesdays and Thursdays are reserved for field and reading seminars

Most internships are unpaid. However, if funds are available, paid or stipended internships are especially attractive to students
Metro Urban Studies Program (MUST)
MUST is a semester-long, interndisciplinary academic program focused on poverty, inequality and social change in the Twin Cities. Interns are available during the Fall (Sept.-Dec.) and Spring Semesters (Feb.-May).
Examples of past MUST internship sites: Jane Addams School for Democracy, Minnesota Coalition for the homeless, Public Achievement, St. Paul Department of Planning and Economic Development, Southside Family School, Welfare Rights Committee
City Arts
City Arts is a semester-long, interndisciplinary academic program focused on art and social change in the Twin Cities. Interns are available during the Spring Semester (Feb.-May).
Examples of City Arts past internship sites: Central High School Theatre Department, Intermedia Arts, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet Theatre, Native Arts Circle/Two Rivers Gallery, SASE: The Right Place, Teatro del Pueblo, and with photographer Wing Young Huie
