Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota joined HECUA in 1977, just six years after the consortium was founded. The institution has been an active member with steady student enrollments, participation on the board of directors, and involvement in committees and consortium initiatives. Board members from Saint Mary’s University have served HECUA in leadership roles including Vice President of the Board, Personnel Committee, Risk Management Task Force, and Scholarship Committee.

Special services HECUA provides to the campus:
•HECUA developed and conducted a two-day custom program on environmental issues for Saint Teresa Leadership & Service Institute for Women. Dr. Julia Nerbonne, HECUA Program Director for Environmental Sustainability, led the program, which included an urban immersion experience in the Twin Cities and a follow up discussion on campus.

Application Process

Saint Mary's follows HECUA's deadlines for all programs. All pieces of the HECUA application are submitted to Saint Mary's Study Abroad Office along with any additional pieces for on-campus approval. Once your application has been approved, the Study Abroad Office sends the completed file to HECUA.
