Scandinavian Urban Studies Term (SUST) is now accepting applications for both the fall and spring semesters
In the 2011-2012 academic year HECUA will offer Scandinavian Urban Studies Term (SUST), based in Oslo, Norway, for two semesters--both in the fall and spring semester. SUST, one of HECUA’s flagship programs and first international site, was originally taught in 1973. Since then the curriculum has shifted with the times as it continues to investigate the dramatic changes of Northern Europe by critically analyzing the development of the Norwegian welfare state with an increasingly multicultural population. Allowing us to expand the SUST program to a second semester is due to the closure of the semester program Divided States of Europe: Globalization and Inequality in the New Europe (DSE). For more information about SUST visit the program page. Information about eligibility, courses, cost, program dates, including a detailed example syllabus can all be found online.
